Importance Of e-Recruitments


Introduction

The purpose of e-recruitrnent is to make the processes involved more efficient and effective, as well as less expensive. Online recruitment can reach a larger pool of potential employees and facilitate the selection process.

Literature

Recruitment has become important process within the highly competitive labor market. The conventional strategies of recruitment had been revolutionized by the rise of the Web. E-Recruitment is the most recent trend within the recruitment process and it has been adopted in most of the organizations from large to small measured companies. Many companies utilize e-Recruitrnent to post jobs and accept resumes on the Web, and compare with the candidates by-mail.

The utilization of IT picks up in significance within the context of recruiting. A few numbers should be given to point out the affect of IT on recruiting:  most of the large companies posted around 86% of their job postings at their career site and 60% at online work exchanges, as it were 27% posted their job advertisements in print media, the significance of online channels (career location and online work trade) has expanded whereas print media and the Government Business Office (FEO) have misplaced in significance. In 2006, about 2/3 of all businesses were produced by means of work postings at companies’ career destinations. (Karla & Heidi, 2017)

e-recruitment can over come the boundaries of conventional recruitment strategies to easy access of the candidates,  the ordinary method of recruiting more paper works and time to recruit right person. e-recruitment become the best solution to stream line the traditional recruitment, if the organisation can implement the e-recruiting software it will more advantage of saving time and find out the right person. The organization will get the following befits due to the e-recruiting. (Francesco , 2018)

As the utilize of web is irreplaceable physical boundaries are mixing and when it comes to professional mobility and the search for skilled and talented workforce at top level in territorial economies this medium is unquestionably here to remain for long.

  1. Irshad, you described the E-Recruiting process well. nowadays the younger generation addicted to the digitalized environment. So this may be the easiest way to find candidates. But there are limitations to find the best employer to the job seeker because by producing job seekers personal details can cause security issues.

  4. In Sri Lanka burning problem among the young crowd is to find a "Good Job" after their education.Some of them like to join Private sector jobs and most of them like to join government jobs.My opinion is
    E- recruitment can be applied only to the private sector jobs in Srilanka. Issues arising in transparency for government jobs will not encourage the e-recruitment for longer time in Srilanka.

  5. As our country is moving fast towards digital environments, e-recruitment might be a good medium of recruitment for most of the job openings. Given that candidates are protected of personal data security issues I believe this is a good medium to adhere in the future. However currently it is best to be used accompanied with other methods too

  6. Your suggestion to recruit employees is a timely one. But the issue I see is whether all jobs is not technical and also most of the individuals does not have access to internet so organizations may lose potential recruit by conducting e recruitment.
